Ok, i’m seriously thinking about just grabbing a packpack, my passport and the clothes on my back and just winging it for the first six months. After that…i don’t know. How does one survive on foot with no money? Hmmm….maybe i’ll sleep in a tree and live off water and fruit. Could it be done?
My dream and goal is to live in England, preferably “Bury St. Edmunds”. If there is anyone here who can offer me any advice on how to make this happen please please offer away. I was born and raised in Texas here in the states and I speak perfect english. I do have plenty of work experience in various fields but no college credits. I am aware of the new revision to the work visa proposed by British Prime Minister Gordon Brown effective February 29 of this year which adds new immigration rules to help boost the UK economy: here is the link http://www.migrationexpert.com/UK/visa/uk_immigration_news/2008/Mar/0/182. It is based on a points system and broken down into 4 tiers as follows: first tier being established for HIGHLY skilled professionals, second tier and third tier for workers who can fill in the labor shortages and forth for au pairs and other temporary working migrants as well as students. However, if I understand correctly it may be a year before the second tier is implimented because they have to first establish an independent committee that will advise the ministers on which skills the economy needs and not to mention the licences that businesses will need to aquire before legally hiring any EU due to a crack down on illegal immigrants, just as the US is currently doing.
Please Help! :/
Why does everybody studies so hard?? To have a good job, culture and a confortable life. Well, I’d like to be a vet. But my real dream is to work in England, create my own clinic for animals, and be happy there, because here in Brazil, people don’t really have all it takes to make animals be healthy and it doesn’t get a lot of money! While in England, a very traditional country, people consider dogs or cats as members of the family,...What can I do??I LOVE IT!
I lived in England while I attended Coventry university in 04/05. I really enjoyed the experience and only came back home for a rest after I finished my exams. A year and a half later and I am living and working in Ireland and have just bought a house here. I enjoy what I am doing right now but I’m afraid that I’ll regret not staying in England for a while after I graduated.
