Every winter I say I can’t handle the cold. Every winter I talk about moving someplace warm. California, Texas, and Arizona are my first, second, and third choice, in that order. Maybe next year….

Ok, by October I’m gone. I will do whatever must be done in order to get there…no matter what I will no longer be in this particular part of the country….but hopefully I’ll get to pick some mushrooms before I go (cross fingers for me that first frost comes early.) We’ve got the place picked out, an actual and factual plan of how to get there, and will have the means to do it soon. Thank ye gods I have someone practical to travel with, otherwise I’d probably make it as far as Ashland decide to live on a commune or something of the sort. I’m extremely happy that things are finally looking up.
Well, I guess Warm is an understatement! Here it is 14 April and we’re at 88 degrees at 17:18. Thank goodness for the Cold Springs. So nice to see I’ve accomplished some of my goals!

So it’s all planned out now. San Marcos this summer. It’s warm, a lot like portland when it comes to the artist crowd, and I do believe I’ll feel at home there.

I thought I’d missed this place, but as it turns out that was not entirely true. It nearly never matters where I am, I still manage to feel alienated and miserable which is my own damn fault. I thought it would be different this time around. Goes to show how much I’ve learned from dropping everything at a moments notice to follow some stupid dream or another. Now I’d just rather be comfortable living among cactus, sleeping in the dirt with scorpions and sidewinders. Some place more quiet. A dry clear place where you can see the stars at night instead of having to make your own constellations. Anywhere but here mon ami.
I have moved so many times to different countries you cannot imagine and I am only 12 years old. Two hot places I have lived in are Barbados and Nigeria. I highly recommend Barbados bcuz it is beautiful and what I would describe as an island paradise. I warn you never, ever to go to Nigeria because it is the most horrible place I have ever lived in in my life. It is violent and ugly and I never want to live there again.
