move out of florida

All I have to say is that Pensacola is the worst shit town in the world and I can’t wait to get out of this dump.

I have been checking out apartments in Chicago. I have always wanted to move to the Windy City. But looking at the prices of apartments that I actually want to live in I need a degree in something so I can make decent money. Now is when I fix my procrastination. I need to get my GED and then go to college. Lets say in a couple of years we will be able to make a big move!

I am SO SICK of this state. I want to go to New England for college.

Although I still want to get out of Florida and experience other places before I have children and what not. I am afraid that I will have to place this goal on hold. I am finally in a place where I can go to college and devote all my time to just that. And I know that my only chance of getting out of Florida and living the lifestyle I want and deserve is to get an education first. Wow imagine that momma and daddy were right all along. Wish I would have listened sooner!!

I have been here my whole twenty years of life and am SICK of it. I hate only having one season SUMMER!!! It is hardly ever cold the leaves like never change, its never gonna snow and talk about EXPENSIVE…it’s time for a change.

The countdown begins. In exactly 8 days I will officially move out of Florida. For the first time in my life! And who knows….I may be back, or I may live in Cali forever. Or…I may do grad school in DC And live there. Or Hawaii for retirement. LOL, who knows. One of the greatest things about being young and single with a degree is that I can pretty much do whatever I want!!

I cant believe you guys wanna move outta florida, ill do anything to get in. I live in michigan and it gets freezing. The whole state is dead for like 8 months outta the year. and you get like 7 hours of sunlight a day. Plus the detroit area completly sucks. if you guys are realy leaving florida make sure you dont move to michigan.

....I am proud to announce that by September 4, I will officially be leaving Florida.

I will miss:
-Hot winters
-Hurricane threats that cancel classes
-Floridian humidity (umm….NOT!)

....and a ton of other things, but it’s time to go. I may be back, may not. But I won’t even consider life worth living if I don’t leave my birthstate for at least a year or so.

Off to Cali, I go. Of course this goal won’t be listed as complete until I step foot in my new place in California.

Wow I was just down to Orlando last month for the Star Wars Weekend at Disney’s MGM Studio. I saw the guy who played R2-D2. We also saw alot of stormtroopers, Darth Vader, Boba Fett and many other. I also did get to see a i-phone before they came on the market and a Wii system too. Well anyway I spoke to several people while standing in all the lines. We met several people from Florida and they all seemed to want to Get Out Of Florida. Either the taxes, insurance, Hurricanes or the Heat. They all had the common desire to leave the state. When I told them I was from Tennessee they all got real interested in they state and what Tennessee had to offer. So thats where www.getoutofFlorida.com came from. Good luck. I can say from much experience that it is hard to leave Florida, it seems to have it’s own trajectory, perhaps it’s the pull of the Bermuda Triange :) it’s hard to leave and STAY GONE, at least in my experience, there is no doubt that it’s a crazy place, north, south, east, and west. The question for me and my friends was always where?? If one grows up with the sun on his/her face, can one handle the winter? Oh yes, you can. If one grows up in a small town can one handle the city? Absolutely. Florida is a great place to be from, it’s a great mark to have anywhere in the WORLD. It always made me instantly interesting wherever I went. Floridians are great at adapting to change and dealing with different people, cultures, and situations, we just don’t know it until we leave.
