celebrate autumn

I like Autumn.It’s one of my favorite seasons.So I guess I kind of celebrate it.(Plus I like Halloween.)

Winter’s fast on its way. It was evident as I was working in the yard this afternoon, raking the leaves. Just about all the trees are bare now, and people are even starting to put up Christmas decorations.

Fall is a great time of year, from beginning to end. Now that this is the end of autumn, it’s time to start getting all the leaves off of the lawn and clip back the dead plants in the garden. Last year we bought a leaf blower, so the job was made a lot easier this time around.

The other great thing about fall is that it doesn’t have the summer’s heat, but it hasn’t quite yet reached winters cold temperaters either. Often times it’s just right to go outside and enjoy the autumn breezes.

This year’s autumn season was a busy one, and it went awefully fast. Still I think I enjoyed it. Now I’m looking forward to wintertime, which is my favorite season of all.

and placed them in two big pots by the front door. They look so nice, and they’re such a great symbol of the season.

Ah, the weather is getting cooler, the trees are changing… Autumn is so neat!

I want to buy mums and put them on the doorstep to surprise my mom. I was also thinking about this really cool idea I had; my own recepie for “caramel” appels:
Instead of using caramel, take an apple and coat it in peanut butter. Then, coat the peanut butter with granola and cinamon sugar. I was thinking about that and it sounds like it would be SO good (especially if you love peanut butter)!

Today is the first day of Autumn. Welcome to the Fall Season! I want to make the most of this autumn. I can’t wait until the trees start getting into their reds and golds and the weather starts to cool down and everyone puts on their hoodies again. Can’t wait to go to more high school football games and watching the leaves fall. Can’t wait to pick out pumpkins and mums and make Jack-O-Lanterns this halloween. Rainy autumn days are the best. There’s something about the quiet of autumn in the rain that makes me feel at peace.

I love it as autumn turns to winter, and there’s the commotion around the first snowfall of the season. I love the cold, wearing scarfs and sipping hot chocolate. Summer’s hot, humid and sticky weather is the worst of the year, and I’m thrilled to see it go.
