Ru ~ dig deeper glitter in her wake...
This past Monday we went to the pumpkin patch in Richmond. If I’d ever been to a bona fide pumpkin patch before (and I’m not sure I have), it certainly didn’t have as much going on as this one did.
There were musical hay rides (an accordion on the way over and a banjo on the way back), farm animals, a music stage (although I found the dancing corn a bit unnerving), freshly picked apples, a spooky pumpkin graveyard, a meeting with the pumpkin princess, a picnic on hay bales, and last but certainly not least, tromping through squishy mud and a sea of pumpkins in search of the perfect festive squash.
We picked two lovely pumpkins, and were very thankful it was such a nice day (rain would have turned it into a 200 ton muddy nightmare). This is definitely something we’ll have to do again. And next time we’ll stay for a pony ride too.
