How I did it: Just kept bringing it! Only missed one day that I wasn't able to do the workout when I was on vacation - my plan is to recover and do it again. First time I did the lean version - this time I am going to do classic. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I just grinded through it. There were 2 times: the 2nd week and the 5th week when I wanted to quit, but I didn't. What motivated me was I had several friends that tried it and quit and I didn't want to be another quitter. Right around 60 days, I started seeing major results and I knew there was no turning back. Also, I did it with my wife, so we motivated each other through it. I don't think I would've finished it w… Read how I did it…
How I did it: Because I was unable to get up and do this early (I was getting to work early as it was!) I made sure that the very first thing I did after work was change into workout clothes and get busy. The first couple of weeks are HARD, and while it doesn't get any easier after that, your body improves and is able to handle it.After a lot of sweat and feeling great I finished the program. My one problem was I didn't have enough weight to achieve bet… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I kept pressing play lol. It was a good workout and I found it easy to follow as long as I rested when I was supposed to, and ate the nutrition I needed. Towards the end, time constraints started making it hard. Never skip the warm up or cool down!!!! They are just as important as the workout. Without them, you may get hurt, hurt longer, and dread the workouts. Read how I did it…
waketodance is about to p90x workout.
How I did it: This experience was much easier to do with my husband since we motivated each other. Best to use all charts provided to keep track of good/not so good days. The thing to watch out for is after you've finished the program...I haven't been able to maintain a consistent exercise schedule thus far. Probably will do the cycle again in the near future. We’ve been doing the workouts, not at the same pace as intended, but we are doing them and making progress. We’re substituting other workouts for the prescribed ones, such as long walks, martial arts, and extra days of stretching.
So it may be more like “P180X”.

My husband and I have had the DVDs for over a year. We made three attempts, but we have yet to get through the whole program. Now we’re starting again, to go for 90 days as best we can.
“Do your best, forget the rest.” Tony Horton, P90X.
I’ve decided that I will begin in November. I’ve skimmed some of the book and watched some of the intro video and exercises. It seems to be something that’ll take lots of focus and dedication, but I think I’m up for it.
I will start eating all the food I have within the next few weeks so I can have empty fridges and cabinets to store with “better” foods. Maybe I can use the money that I save from eating in to purchase the proper equipment needed to get this thing going. :)
I did Day 1 (Chest and Back & Ab Ripper X)... It was tiring but a good workout. I did half of Day 2 (Plyometrics) and I quit for tonight. I’ll finish the other half tomorrow. It is hard, but I hope it will get easier. Also I hope to get to the gym more and do more cardio there… One day at a time.
I’m doing this with my wife, which made it a lot easier. We almost quit after 30 days but mustered up the energy to continue and we’re glad we did. At first, the amount of pushups and reps felt excessive but I am so much stronger now. I take martial arts and I can tell the dramatic difference it has made in my strength and stamina. Can’t wait to finish and do it again!
casesandcapitals I left this site for a long time, but I'm back now!
I don’t like Core at all, is there anything I can swap it out with?
After talking about this with my sister-in-law, I found the informerical and decided to go for it. I haven’t exercised in a year and I’ve gained about 20 pounds or more. I thought I was out of shape then but it’s nothing to how I am now. My thighs rub together. It’s ridiculous and I feel like crap. Unfortunately I know I can’t just change my eating habits- I have to start working out. I like the thought that you will see results in 90 days…. Having that deadline is a motivator for me. We go on a cruise in early August, so hopefully this will work, I will stick to it, and I’ll be comfortable on the cruise. DH is participating too, so hopefully we can both rock our beach bodies.
This is ridiculous. I never started P90X. I do now have the barbells and the pull-up bar though. Now all I need it to force myself to start and stick with it. Hopefully I will have the nerve this monday.

I found that I had a lot of diet and exercise/gear questions about P90X that were not answered in the guides provided with the program, and not even on the forums. So here’s my contribution: the
