I like to get enough sleep, but three nights a week I necessarily don’t get home until quarter to twelve three nights (school) and I have to wake up (ideally) at 5:50 the next morning for work. Other nights I make a conscientious effort to certainly get eight or nine hours. Ah! The life of a student.
Going to bed in five or ten minutes! I’ll be lights-out before ten o’clock!! \o/ I’m so excited!
Man, after getting around 3-6 hours of sleep total for the past few days, and after all this heat (and subsequent dehydration—man, isn’t that another one of my goals?), I’m glad for it. Yay for an adequate amount of sleep!
Five hours and counting down.
But—but there’s so much angst going on! I can’t sleep. There’s angst! I have to stay up and try to ward it off. Argh.
...man, I suck.
Something about adding “make sure” to the beginning of this really appealed to me. That doesn’t mean I just get the sleep (via naps or something); this means I’m actively trying to accomplish the goal. I’m “making sure“ to do it. (Watch, as I avoid any Taking Back Sunday references. Hurrah!)
Plan of Action: After tonight (extenuating circumstances that motivated me to search out this goal in the first place), I will restrict myself to going to bed at 10:00 PM, no later. The end! And, if I just consistently work eight-hour work days, this will become easier and easier to accomplish. So! We begin tomorrow night!
