I learned how to wakeboard behind my family’s 1986 Glastron. It was not built for wakeboarding or really any other sport like it. I was using an O’Brien board from about 2001. It was really big, much too big for me. My dad took me out to drive the boat, and I got up second try. It was really cool the first time, but when I actually started getting some air, it felt freakin awesome. (That took like another two seasons to actually learn, though) It’s pretty similar to snowboarding, just has a different feel since your hanging onto a rope and your in the water.
Since then I’ve gotten a pylon and some ballast for our boat, along with a new board, and I have really improved. It really builds muscle, and I hear chicks dig it. But that’s what my dad says, so who knows. :)
If anyone needs anything, hit me up!

Last November, I went to a wakeboarding complex here in the Philippines and I still did not learn. I somehow learned kneeboarding however but I still suck. This March, we’re going back and hopefully, I can start learning.

downright awful > poor > mediocre > just okay > good > very good > excellent > fan-freaking-tastic
Couldn’t even stand up on the board. Luckily the lake was nearly empty so I didn’t have a bunch of people watching me fail miserably. Can’t wait to try again, though!

My friends and I were planning to go to Batangas here in the Philippines to wakeboard. Unfortunately, that may not happen due to conflict with our schedules. The good thing is, I may still be able to go and learn wakeboard with some online buddies this April and I am sooo excited.
I went today for my first attempt and did knee boarding for two hours with an ok success I guess! I will be going again next week hopefully conquering the final corner this time! :D

I’ve tried twice, first time I couldn’t do it at all. Second time I could get out of the water and up on the board. So hopefully the third time i’ll improve some more. Not much more summer left to go I need to make the most of it

I’m not even all that into skiing- that’s my husband’s thing. So wakeboarding…ehhhhhhhhhh, not so much.
I bought a (used) 1999 board from my neighbour. Problem is, it’s winter. I have to wait; it’s too darn cold. For now my wakeboard is sitting in my closet. I can hear it beckoning…
