Bought another Everyday Minerals sample pack yesterday (my third) – still trying to find which formula is best for me. I believe Beige Fairly Light is correct, so I got a sample pack with different formulas. My last sample pack I got Intensive, which seemed a bit much, so this time I got Original Glow, Matte and Semi-Matte… we’ll see which works!

Also bought a new lipstick last night, which I love, actually. It’s a very good neutral for me – just emphasizes the natural color of my lips and was exactly what I was looking for (subtle pinky-coral). I’m interested in a nude lippy too, but everything I was looking at last night seemed to be shimmery or frosted, which is not what I want.

I’m also considering buying some mascara, which I usually don’t wear since my eyelashes are naturally fairly dark and quite long and tend to look scary and Twiggy-esque (though in looking for that photo, I think that maybe they’re more Kim Kardashian-esque, and I’m just not a fan of that look), but this one’s supposed to be pretty decent and natural-looking.

I recently got an eyebrow pencil as well, which I’d never tried before, and I’m a big fan of the tidy, pulled-together look a light penciling gives my brows. I’m thinking about possibly getting a little brow shaper-razor too just so I can ensure the hairs are all trimmed and neat.

I’ll be meeting up with some friends tomorrow who will gladly give me some lessons.

I will also look for my old issues of ALLURE and compile their tip sheets.

My Dad also gave me the go signal to buy makeup since it’s for work. I want to look presentable and professional. I hope when I get a job, I can pay him back. On my makeup wish list is Bobbi Brown and the Face shop. It’s a good thing I have dry but clear skin so not much to cover.
