I mentioned doing this to my partner and he was interested in the idea, which suprised me. Might have to line up a nights camping on Northshore and a horseride with the company up there who do beach rides.

    DID IT!! 23 months ago

Have to admit, it was quite nerve wracking…
It was pretty flat but I kept thinking, what if??
In any case, it was a great experience and even though I was really scared, my daughter had a great time.

We went to Ocean Shores, WA, and rode two horses for rent there in a group of about ten other riders. It was pouring rain until we stepped into the stirrup, and then the sun broke through the clouds and it was SUNNY for 45 minutes! And in March! The sand glistened and sparkled, the air was crisp and clear, the horses full of spunk and probably glad that we knew how to ride (at least the two of us). As we got back to the picket line, the clouds covered the sun and it began to rain in earnest. It was so magical, and I’m thrilled I shared it with my sweetheart. Afterwards we went to the Quinault Casino and had awesome clam chowder. A day to remember.

i did this last year! it really is worth it! **some mishaps involved though. hehehe.

    here’s my story:
the horse didn’t wanna stop cantering! it keeps on going so i just had to hold on. my thigh is injured (there’s a big map on my thigh now) and i got cuts on my face and neck. thank God, i didn’t fall. i can’t ride my own horse when i got back home for almost one month++ i think? – because of my thigh, waiting for it to heal.

no, no didn’t mean to scare you! just sharing my experience. but seriously, it really is worth it! just imagine the sea breeze and all… :)

ps: we rammed through branches! :p (and almost hit the tree)

We rode the horses right into the water—horses are excellent swimmers.

I think I would really enjoy this. I can picture myself wearing something white and loose. Wishing for a sunset but may not have everything.
