I made ocha to Oshun on June 21 and it was the best thing I ever did. Maferefun Eleggua for making it possible. Maferefun Oshun, Agayu and Ochosi for choosing me.

I will be making ocha this Saturday, June 21, 2008. It has been a long, hard journey but I am truly excited to see it realized at last.

I expect to be making ocha (santo) this fall as a priest of Ochun/Oshun. I am really excited about entering the next phase of my life as Oshun’s daughter.

I have had my head marked in the Lucumi religion and will be getting made to the Orisha Oshun when I have the derecho together. I know it is important for me to take it one step at a time, but sometimes I wish I knew when I will be able to have everything in place so I can set a date for my ceremony.
