visit yosemite

My husband once told me that when he went to Yosemite, and saw the waterfall there, that it looked like Heaven.

This is a big deal, because my husband doesn’t believe in Heaven. If it’s that beautiful, I have to go.

or so I believed when I was a kid…
we visited Yosemite at least once every summer for many years.
my first visit was when I was 6 months old!
it’s a sacred place. love it.

I forgot to mention the bears. You need to make sure your car is empty of all food, lotions, perfumes, etc.

I didn’t know that beforehand and went after a cmping trip which had lots of that stuff. It was a hassle. Be prepared for that!

Well, I did it after the 2006 Burn with my friend Dr. Slaw. This place is so close and so beautiful that I felt stupid that I hadn’t been there earlier.

It’s a beautiful place!

my family visited Yosemite National Park. But I don’t remember anything; I was 6, 7 maybe. I just remember a lot of sunshine.

Only spent one day in Yosemite, and saw most of it by car. It’s really a park where you should spend a few days and plan to see it by hiking the trails. There are only 3 roads through the park, but you can use them to see the biggest sights. This is where El Capitan and the giant sequioas are. They charge $20 per car, but it is well worth it, especially if you have the time to get out and hike. Take a bathing suit so you can get in the waterfalls and streams!

Yosemite is great. one of my favorite parks, right up there with Zion in Utah

i have reservations to camp in yosemite over labor day weekend. glorious.
