How to be kissed at the top of the Eiffel Tower
It made me

How I did it: I'm lucky enough to be currently living in Paris and although I have been up the eiffel tower several times, I've always wanted to go up there with my boyfriend as I figued it'd be really romantic. Well, 3 years after we got together, we finally got round to it. The Eiffel tower itself is great and the views you get of Paris from the top are breathtaking. And being there with your loved one does make you feel warm and fuzzy inside. We had a smooch on the first floor and it was romantic and lovely. However, anyone who has dreams of being kissed at the very top of the tower should be warned that at the top there is very little space and lots and LOTS of people hence very overcrowded. It's hard enough getting a viewspot for one let alone 2 people! And as for the smooch, we did it because I wanted to tick this off my list but it was not at all intimate since we were surrounded by so many people on all sides! There's not really enough space to have a proper kiss without accidentally elbowing someone else! Having said that, the second floor is more roomy and has even better views as you're not constricted by a huge grid in parts. So there we had our proper kiss, not at the very top but near enough. And THAT was wonderful :).
Lessons & tips: Allow yourselves plenty of time to see the tower, it takes a good few hours and you'll enjoy it more if you're not in a rush to get back down (be prepared to wait in long queues for the lifts!) |

Since I originally started this goal I have met an amazing man, fallen in love, gotten engaged, planned a madcap wedding, and gotten married!
I told him about the goal and – beautiful man that he is – he is now determined to take me to Paris. (Possibly it’s something to do with me suggesting that if he didn’t take me I would go by myself and then I would have to just kiss any random person I found!) (jokingly, I suggested it jokingly!!)
He might have to do some travel for work in the next 12 months, so we have it firmly on our list of places to go when we next visit Europe.
I can’t think of anyone better to fulfill this goal with actually :-)
