to make all the smaller ones add up to something

A few weeks ago I visited Uluru (Ayers Rock) in the Red Centre of Australia. It’s called the Red Centre because the soil and rocks are a brick-red color due to the presence of iron oxide – just as they are on Mars. I couldn’t help thinking that if you took away all the plants and animals, this was pretty much what Mars must be like.

i suppose i should start saving my money for this one. even if we do land on Mars before i die, it prolly won’t be a viable tourist destination… at least not cheaply.
