It started as something for my daughters fourth birthday party as she wanted a superhero theme and want me to be batman, then I seemed to be getting requests by friends and other people to go to their parties and hand out flyers and such.
I hand made the whole suit from the hard moulded cowl to the monstrous cape( which has cool spines to make it rigid when you open it) and don’t forget the moulde chest and stomach( oh to have that for real)with raised batsignal. The materials I used were things that are found around the house or at a craft shop, such as papermache coated in no more gaps(also called caulk)which is strong and flexible.
it is great fun to wear and a gives you a great feeling when complete strangers come up to you and ask to have pictures with you. (And the fact that Im 214cm tall makes the suit even more impressive as I loom over people)
if want to do it, you need to sit down and work out the small details (like can i bend in this) and just put your imagination and heart into it
