I’m looking to expand my repertoire of unique talents and abilities. I think being able to serve a variety of drinks will come in handy in some place and may provide a small boost to my income on spare time.

I really want to be a bartender! I don’t drink – at all, but think it would be fun/entertaining! I also want to learn the ‘fancy’ bar tending with tossing bottles and all that jazz :)

    I don’t even drink anymore

Bartending school is a ripoff/waste of money. Work at a bar and they will promote you within with persistence and hard work. 70 percent of bartending is dealing with people, you can’t learn that at a school. I was a bartender, I loved it…I only waitressed for 2 months before I was promoted. There were some nights when I was waitressing that I made just as much money as the bartenders.

I don’t drink alcohol. Not that I’m of legal age to do so, but that doesn’t seem to stop many people these days.
I love the idea of bartending though. I love the social aspect. The large tips don’t seem so bad either, especially when I have college to pay for.
