Get Neville to fix my Triumph's burned valve

It runs fine…but
it didn’t pass DEQ again. So I will check with the other garage in a week or so, after the holidays to find out what is wrong with it. Neville claims that it is fixed now but the HC results were even twice as bad as last time (when I tried to get it through DEQ)

I’ve been so sick I haven’t been able to go get the car. Luckily Neville said it is alright where it is right now and I can go get it next week.

Neville called today and said I can pick up the car, he fixed it. I’ll pick it up on Monday since it is late. I’ll see if it gets through DEQ this time. I am hopeful..hurrah for Neville!

he told me that he will have it finished in a week and 1/2 (more than likely). He said his 17 year old son has been having health problems so he (Neville) hasn’t been at work.

to check on status..tomorrow. I keep forgetting to do this.

I imagine I should call him by this coming Friday to check the status.

it didn’t make it through the DEQ test. I called Neville 10/10/06 and left a message to ask when I can bring in the Spitfire.
(no answer yet). I know that it means taking the whole thing ALL apart again (and he isn’t aware that I KNOW that is what needs to be done). He seems to be shining me on by telling me to drive it and so forth. I can’t get the car registered without it passing DEQ.
I am not mad (yet) ..he just needs to make this right (under warranty) because I paid Neville a bundle to get it running again.

He said I should try to get it through DEQ with the adjustments that that other garage made. He said if it doesn’t make it through that I may need a catalytic converter (but the car never had one of those before and had made it through DEQ years ago ..so I am not in favor of this). Neville seems to think I should drive the car for a month and bring it back for compression tests then.
Picking up car tomorrow.
