motuI love it....

Each day,i go thru one or two chapters of Gandhi.
I wish He gives me strength to do even one ounce of what Gandhi did in his life, with his life. 6 years ago

motuThanks....

I always had strong feeling for Gandhi, but it was you who gave me a new insight to look at Gandhi.I have completed 3/5 of his auto biography.
I am very happy to visualise his frame of mind sometime.
Though his Brahmacharya initiative/non-consumption of milk and milk/product,are pretty baffling.I have yet to come to terms with them.
I wonder this great man was born just like all of us…...flesh and blood.Do we all carry such strenght of thought and will power??? 6 years ago

motuMy meeting with Mahatma....

I wanna share my experience with Gandhi when in 2001,I visited Sabarmati Ashram.I was in Ahmedabad to attend a workshop in ISRO.On my last day, with a group of friends,i was shopping n visiting local market and places where generally outsiders are guided to visit(kinda ritual).I told my local friend to take me to Sabarmati ashram with a remark”please take me there too, otherwise Gandhi would cry in his grave that why I didn’t oblige him”.It was most light-hearted,comic comment I ever made and that to for Gandhi.
We went there.I suddenly found myself gripped with emotions while seeing his works, his room, prayer place. When I saw his small room where his personal articles were kept with care.I started sobbing. It took me half an hour to calm myself.A south indian collegue said jokingly,”Do u have some family bond with Gandhi?”
I sat where Gandhiji used to sit and write and talk to people.I did write a comment on visitor book.
Since then,I know I love Gandhi.Since then I know I have a part of Gandhi in me too. 6 years ago
