I’m reposting this post from an earlier thread, so that it’ll go to everyone (so pardon anything that makes no sense as a new thread—i’m feeling lazy!):

4-6 weeks sounds reasonable to me. However, if you’re thinking about booking a place for a meet ‘n’ greet, it might be worthwhile to start making calls now, give them the very rough estimate, and ask them when they would want a more definitive answer.

Any suggestions for venues from folks who live in/near Vegas? Shah? TajLV?

I wonder whether there’s a way, without changing your own location to Vegas, to get a list of members who live there.

I know I have not communicated on this much lately, but this goal is very much in my mind… I just had a friend go to Vegas for the Day to see InterBike, (aka…Rid’ndirtybikeboy) and so its such a do able trip, in fact 24-48 hours of Vegas,
is all I could handle, due to Bright lights, noise, and light pollution…LOLOLOL…

But I wanted to say I am still up for creating and playing at this goal…

a couple of things I saw this past week, I have a friend who is a guide for Exum he may be up for coming down to help guide at the Red Rocks climb area, he young, super smart, handsome, and look out could be a Ambcrombie and Fitch model…but he is really great with people, and rocks…

I also had to laugh so hard, I was Watching Sex and the City, where meranda rides the bull at a Cowboy Bar in Manhatten? and her shirt flies open…and she is sooooo going after the whole wild girl scene…pretty funny… started thinking not sure if that’s me….but then thinking, yeah that’s me on 2 spaten optimators…

But only if Dorian is going. And if he promises to pick me up from the airport on his horse, or maybe in his pick-up truck, oh and says dawg a lot, maybe tawco, perhaps some other stuff. I’m sure he’ll think of something.

Really though, I don’t mind as long as he has his cowboy hat on.

After much thinking, I am afraid I’ll have to give up on this goal.

Mainly because I have already been there before (in 1994) and would prefer to save money on other trips, since there are still so many countries and wonderful cities in the U.S. that I want to go to!

Moreover, I am not very keen on Las Vegas, don’t really like the gambling environment. Ironically, we’re going to build the world’s most expensive integrated resort in Singapore..Ha, the successful bidder was an American co from Las Vegas, called “Sands”!

For those will make it to Las Vegas later on, enjoy yourself there and remember to have loads of fun!!!

Soo just checking on line for the Red Rocks climb area, its pretty
technical routes, which is good for the super experienced,
but i am hoping to find out if there is “school room” section of rock to goof around on for beginners, a top rope type area…
so doing more inquiring…

also saw a country music star photo in the paper today, she
had on a killer t-shirt,it read “i rode the bull at GILLEY’S”

ohhhhh, i so want that t-shirt….

I just had a girl friend come back from Vegas, she mentioned the Vehetian was very nice, not sure on the PRICE?,
also the Belagio… being just a great place to stay…Price?

LOVE!!!!, the shuttle idea, i will get on line right now
and maybe i can call a climbing shop to get some beta…

I like the lunch idea, that could leave open the night
for open plans,
we might all end up at the same spot or not?

Again, is there a way to find out if other groups 43T gatherings have had success with certain, schedules or activities?

there is a bar at the end of the strip, Jillies (this is waiting to be confirmed ???)
but the rumor on the street is… it has the

MECHANICAL BULL…
going, paid corporate, mtn biking fiend…so i am on the push to secure this beta…

this is all according to ride'ndirtybikeboy, who is a Las Vegas

he also mentioned some other sites. like the shark tank at one of the casinos…??? some of the rollercoasters on the hotels, a mardi gras, ride and party…? and he said…
going to Hoover Dam (i am not into it) but he thot for sure
we would want a bumper sticker that said “i ate a dam dog at..”
i can’t remember now, but it seemed way too chevy chase, Family Lampoon Vacation for me!...

oh, and then i mentioned the erotic CirqueD’solie that is playing right now,and he said his friends saw it and yeah, its

When I asked my husband if we could go to Vegas in April he asked why. (Which I knew he would. He always has to know WHY.) I said, ”...because of 43T.” I was shocked when he answered with, “We’ll talk about it.” Instead of “Oh, you’re crazy! You and your 43T!”

April may be too soon for us to go on a trip, but we haven’t completely ruled it out either. I’ll keep my eye on this thread to see what’s going on. I would love to go back to Vegas and met everyone! Thank you meand4girls for the invite.

In the meantime I thought I would post a photo from when hubby and I were there on our honeymoon. heha! 6 years ago

I really wish I could go; I’ll wish with all my heart but if I can’t make it for whatever reason , please hug eachother in my name, because that is what I’d like to do if I get to go.

I technically HATE VEGAS,its not natural, its spendy, strippers, booze, gamblers, getting lost in casinos, crowded, smokers, its 110 degrees…in the summer, ...

BUT FOR 43things, I will sooooo GO TO VIVA LAS VEGAS!!!

OK, THINGS I DO SEE Possible about VEGAS,

Dress up, booze, strippers, casinos…and (just kidding)...

yes, the music, to create a meet up based off a concert
would be amazing! thumbs up Neko Case…

I could see an outing out to RED ROCKS, the climbing area, if people wanted to do an activity just a ways out of the city, to
mingle, be a bit different, other sites, or settings, could work as well…

has anyone talked with other groups who have done this?

what i think we should do is take a look at the concert schedule in vegas and plan this when a really cool act is playing.

A few weeks ago my boss offered to pay for my plane ticket to Vegas so I could go to the Beatles Cirque du Soleil show.
