    Valerie Plame testifying before Congress.

At least we’re all seeing how corrupt these clowns are.

    Read it and weep.

After the second “election” of G. Dubya, I made a bunch of black armbands out of old socks from Goodwill and passed them out to my friends. It caught on for a bit and then faded away… This practice oughta be resurrected!

How did I miss this doozy? 2 years ago

Alberto Gonzales claims that the Constitution grants no right of habeas corpus.

How in the world did this man become Attorney General?

And why would someone who despises his country as much as Gonzales does even want the job?

This article just about does it for me.

Apart from the Bush administration’s moral (and America-honoring) bankruptcy, I really had to catch my breath after reading this, from the article:

“The Pentagon manual could spark a fresh confrontation between the Bush administration and Congress — now led by Democrats — over the treatment of the nation’s terrorism suspects.”

This isn’t just Bush vs. the Dems. This is Bush vs. everyone with an inkling of what makes (made?) this country special.

And now the Attorney General says 2 years ago

Federal judges should just stick to their knitting.

    I don’t get it.

When the government has such contempt for governance (not to mention for the governed), what are we supposed to do?

    Yeah, I’d say so.

Democrats aren’t my usual ideal of saviors, but today I’ll take it!

There’s a lot of work to do!

Oh good. First, it was a defense of torture, then a law allowing the incarceration of, well, basically anyone, with no due process.

And now! Provisions for martial law.

    Another proud day.
