My work habits have increasingly been improving. I survived the past two weeks without calling out, and even on the day that I didn’t want to go to work because I was exhausted and feeling a very tiny, tiny bit under the weather.

The morning was pretty difficult to get through, but I suppose that the benefits of having a job working at a school (and a good school with lots of enrichment programs at that) mean that the day goes by pretty quickly. And that it did. Before I knew it, it was already lunch time and I only had an hour and a half before the end of the day. Wonderful. I’ve got to remind myself this the next time I plan on taking a personal holiday for no good reason.

I also got offered 4 addition hours during the week for home clients. I was hesitant at first to take it, but I figure that I might as well give it a shot. So far, it doesn’t seem so bad, and the truth is that I really need the money.

Here’s to another 5 weeks of consistently improving my work habits. I know I can do it.

my friend in law school puts in 8 hours a day of reading/writing.
i am getting there, but it is difficult to get my emotions/worries of the day out of the way.
he does it because if he doesn’t, he will fail out.
he is paying for the school, and i am setting my own structure.
it is difficult to constantly chart a creative path.
