La Tasca – a spanish tapas restaurant. so yummy!
also tried Pei Wei – sooo good for quick, but delicious, non-greasy asian food. Owned by PF Changs.

I’ve been pretty good about going to new places – last month I went to a new Dim Sum place Ping Pong which was great, although I went there last week and the service was really not good. Then on Friday went to Bincho Yakitori which was very tasty, although it would have been a little overpriced if we hadn’t got a special 50% off deal with Toptable. But I’ve been rubbish about trying new places with my man and fellow restaurant sampler, as he hasn’t been with me on either of these visits. Still, we did go back to Ed’s Diner yesterday, which is an oldie but a goodie, particularly the milkshakes :-)

...but we certainly made up for it last week. We were in Paris for a few days, and ate so much food! Highlights were Chartier (http://www.restaurant-chartier.com/www/) and a fondue restaurant on Rue Mouffetard.
Yum!

The Savoy Grill on Saturday, which is quite posh and lovely. I especially like the slightly olde world glamour, although the trolley of champagne was a dangerous temptation – £13 a glass!!
La Tasca in Canary Wharf is a tapas bar. Nothing too out of the ordinary, but the company of JFS made it much more exciting. And thankfully he ordered, as I never have the slightest idea how to pronounce Spanish words, and would probably end up with a plate of tripe…
Today, I picked up a “Best Restaurants of Europe” stylee book, so no doubt more inspiration for this goal is on its way..
