Deborah Schultz is looking forward to the Christmas season and sanely preparing for it
If I can’t list at least 5 things, I have a problem, and i know i don’t have a problem.
1. A cheery kitchen to cook Thanksgiving dinner in.
2. The smell of yeast bread rising.
3. A brisk walk with the dogs to the store
4. My children driving 1600 miles to be with me on Thanksgiving.
5. My husband setting up the table and chairs in our barn for Thanksgiving and going and dragging them home from the church.

I don’t tell him often enough how much I love him. Today he took all of his scrap metal money and bought me an iphone for Christmas. I can’t believe he did that and it as so thoughtful and unselfish.

I am grateful for the change in the seasons, for the crisp mountain air and the fiery orange foliage of the last remnants of fall.

Today I went shopping with my friend. I don’t have a lot of cash, but it was fun to be together and look at things. We bought some tablecloths for a women’s church supper next month and got some good deals.

JulieJordanScott is continually setting odd goals that need translation for many people
One of the things I love about these groups is the volume of gratitudes I have the privilege of reading, so I am heading over there since more poeple post more regularly.

I am marking this as “done” but only because I now have this goal basically listed twice. So, as of today I’m going to start posting my daily gratitudes under the other similarly named goal.
