I’ve found myself ‘drifting’ in my Japanese self-study of late – not reading as much as I say I will, getting distracted by internet time wasters (blogs in English, fanfic… also in English, youtube, shopping sites), watching Japanese TV but not actually listening to what they’re saying… Anyway, the point is, despite my pooh-poohing of standardised tests, JLPT gives me a quantifiable goal, and I need that right now.
I’ve only been studying Japanese for 6 months, so it’ll be just over a year by the time the test comes around. Might be a big ask. I might fail. But JLPT 3 sounds like a waste of time, and isn’t it good to aim high? With Anki, textbooks and a world of online resources at my disposal, it’s worth a try! :D

I’m aiming to take the JLPT 2 in December 2009. I’m hoping to pass by doing an intensive language program over the summer, and I’m also taking the Kanji Kentei exam in February 2009. Ganbarimasu!
I have the vocabulary and kanji for JLPT level 2 but don’t know how to get the grammer of the test as well as the tests of the previous years?!!!

Yay, got the result for JLPT level 2 test this year. Got 76% and Im satisfied cuz wat I have done is now paying me off. Give it a try dude!
but…. giri giri.
still though, jlpt2 is a pretty big milestone. omedetou to everyone else who got their results today.
michelelisa is back... bwhahahaha... *ahem*
well, took level 3 last year, and my results came back today – Passed!
so, this december… level 2!
Been studying for nearly 2 months (started from Oct) but not every day. I live in JP and gotta interact with the Japanese everyday, which is kinda an advantage. Listening and Kanji are fine 4 me but I don’t like “語彙” (Goi) and Reading Comprehension (it’s toooo loooong)
