I always feel a rough patch on the inside of my right cheek and I chew on it so it won’t be there anymore. It only makes it worse. It seems to help when I take a large area of my cheek and bite rather hard on it (enough so it hurts a little, but does no damage) and sometimes rub my tongue on it at the same time.

I’ve been doing this since I was a teenager (and I’m pretty old now), but I’ve noticed as the older I’ve become, I’ve been able to be aware that I’m about to take up this behavior and nip it in the bud. And I credit my success to Sarah Jessica Parker’s admission several years ago that this too was a problematic habit for her.

im a smoker, and at work, between smoke breaks, i do it constantly. i do it when im driving too. ugh!!!
