...well I had just gotten comfortable with V3s and trying out V4s (didn’t fully send any though, unfortunately) when I got minor tendonitis in one elbow, and then moved to Japan! lol.
Although I did hunt down some fellow climbers, until I get a car I won’t be climbing anything other than my stairs every morning (buildings are made out of paper and wood here, so builderings out as well..bummer). Really happy about the progress I made in the last year, though, and it makes me confident that I can only improve.
Really miss the rock though, heh, don’t fully appreciate how addictive the sport is until you can’t climb anymore. :(

Finally stuck a V4, so I’m on my way! I also started top roping a lot, and I’m finally learning how to lead climb, and it’s DEFinitely improving my strength! I jumped on the pull up bar, and did 10 in a row! I haven’t done that since I was 14 and weighed 100 pounds…lol

On a whim yesterday I jumped on a V5 just to see how hard it was and to my suprise I onsighted it!!! I was so excited because the hardest problem I had sent prior was a V3.
I recently moved from climbing 5.10c sport routes to sending some 5.11+ routes so I feel the techniques and endurance I have developed have signifigantly improved my bouldering.
Route climbing and bouldering really compliment each other and I feel that you will grow faster by striving to constantly try harder boulder problems as well as harder sport routes.
Good luck to you all!
