I guess I need to build better spam protection in. :-(

And it even works properly with the “www.” bit on the front now, which always annoyed me and a few others. Now I just need to start posting again!

Think this is now finally completed, but I need to test a few more things, then I need to decide when to actually switch the servers (which could take 72 hours – I hope any email will be queued and not just bounce back).

I’ve made some considerable progress on this the last few days. Go me.

I made a new layout which I quite like, although it needs a few tweaks here and there.

So now all I need to do is write the software. :-|

I’m being spam attacked again, and now the blog software throws up whenever I try to delete it all. It has some clever filter that can identify some spam, but evidently it doesn’t delete it automatically – what’s the point of that?

Anyway, I think I’ll have to step this up at some point (after the coming two weeks, at least). I miss getting the occasional comment from a real person. :-(

...I decided to just write my own blogging tool. I figure I can steal acquire much of it from elsewhere, and then I won’t have to go and learn how to do the design I want in someone else’s system – I can just invent my own!

Also, there’s some things I want to do to make posting my book reviews easier, which may even encourage me to keep up with them!

I decided to call the system Tulip.

...I had some idea of what I wanted it to look like. At least that would feel like progress.
