Receive an autograph from someone I admire

and they are now framed in my music room on a giant poster.

I made a point of asking them to write something ‘inspirational’ so that when I was practising my scales and it was all going horribly wrong I could look up and see that they said it was all worth while. And yes it works.

^{my fave is from one guy who signed some very very difficult violin music which I have but can’t play (yet!) after a concert in which he had played this stuff. I asked him for some hints and tips on how to play it and he wrote ‘study well, try harder’, which is really just about it, that is exactly what I need to do, there are no short cuts or magic fingerings}
