Get closer to my family

I am mos def getting closer to my parents. I went through a lot of crap with them when I was younger (which I am sure many ppl have been through) and I held it against them for along time. Now that I see what truly amazing parents they always were it makes me appreciate them more everyday. But I have not completly conquered this goal I still have quite a few ppl to connect with and be there for.

So this is a split between friends and family but I spent all weekend visiting with them! It was great.

Now that I am closer to home I make an effort to see the family at least every week. Ok, I can do better like follow through on that effort, lol. I’m working on it…

After finding out my father has cancer, and the news about it, my family became my safety net, and, we have never been closer then we have now

As I’ve moved back into my parents house at 22 after a failed attempt of flying solo, I’ve noticed one thing :

No matter how bad things get my family is alway there for me, and they will always care for me. Yeah, sure, nasty things were said, but we all get over them and I have learned that maybe sometimes we need to focus on the good, rather then the bad! If we focus on what is wrong in our lives, how are we ever going to take the time to see the good?
