Chrispelly is working on the conducting
Mark my words, it will happen!
it’s never gonna happen, even after all the videos I’ve studied (yer put yer left hand here) and the feet floor-charts I’ve amassed. The problem is that I don’t have an orchestra, so this would have been a better, more realistic goal. Am I depriving the world of my musical genius/talents ? I suppose so, but what can I do ? Not everyone gets a podium place.
Here’s a picture of a frustrated cellist. (Maybe they support cellsea).
well, it would be a bit different to standing in front of the speakers waving a knitting needle. 80 or 100 musicians in front of you, waiting for a downbeat, a flick of your wrist or the nod of your nose, and 2000 people behind you, experiencing the music through your movements. What a responsibility ! I remember an audience booing the conductor at a performance of Mahler’s 4th, and on another occasion, the rostrum came loose, causing Daniel Baremboim to flail around drunkenly until he regained his balance.
