I have a serious book-buying problem, so instead of buying everything online, I’m going to try to buy it second-hand. Got the following yesterday:
Christopher Paolini – Eldest
Christopher Paolini – Eragon
Haruki Murakami – A wild sheep chase
Iain M Banks – Use of weapons
Jack Kerouac – On the road
JM Coetzee – Life and times of Michael K
Alan Hollinghurst – The line of beauty
David Mitchell – Cloud Atlas
Altogether cost me ZAR120 (or approx $16).

two of them are charity shops (one of them I said I would volunteer at if they need me), one that specialises in children’s books, another that’s slightly out of town and the last one I’ve been to a few times before which I really like. The guy who runs it has such a great knowledge of books, and it has a great atmosphere with books piled everywhere, just like every second hand book shop should be like! Oh and I guess I can add Amazon Market Place to the list. These places should surffice until the next time I have a chance to go to Hay-on-Wye.
