pepperI am stuck on the "not now"

for now… 6 years ago

pepperI was all set to get one

and then I went back to look at my finances more realistically, and decided I need to wait a little bit longer. Not to mention that I am still getting used to the idea of settling for something less than I want. If I lived anywhere else in the country, I could get way more of a house than I need/want. But here…no…. 6 years ago

peppergonna do it...

probably in January after the holidays have quieted down. It’s just time already! I know this is a materialistic decision, and I just hope I can control wanting to buy everything for my place. 6 years ago

pepperI left off the most important part!

How could I skip the part about wanting to move in with my boyfriend, and that this would just jumpstart all of that? I can’t wait for that to happen… For once our roles are switched and he is the practical one and thinks we should wait until we know if the housing prices are going down more…but me I am like…must buy something now! 6 years ago

pepperwelll...

I really feel like I’m ready for this. I didn’t feel the strong urge for it really until now (of course when the prices may be close to the peak…). And now I feel like I MUST! But still the housing prices are too high…and I don’t want to live out in the boonies, and I”m not quite ready to move out of state, although I have been thinking about it a lot. So…get a huge ass loan…and risk losing all my savings if the housing prices plummet? That’s what I’m trying to decide. Usually I am overly practical, and wouldn’t go for that risk. I know I have illusions that everything will be perfect once I have my own place…no more sharing the kitchen with my roommate!! ...enough room for a home office…some stability that will actually encourage me to organize… Well who am I kidding! 6 years ago
