I want to try newer recipes and old forgotten ones. And to start I want to cook at home (for real) at least twice a week. Things that just need headed up (pizza) or boiling water (ramon) don’t count. It’s a matter of planning ahead and being prepared because frankly coming home hungry and having to defrost meet sucks.
How to cook more frequently
How I did it: every time I shop for food, I just start planing at least one great cooked meal I can make. when I see the products in my fridge...I cant not make it- so I cook!
Lessons & tips: Do'nt make a big deal- start with simple and just move up :)

many meals while I was on maternity leave. Lots of chicken and salmon mostly. I enjoyed it. J, unfortunately slept through a lot of it. I would have liked to share the meals with him but he got to eat leftovers instead. It will prove to be more difficult now that I’m working 2nd shift…
Additionally it means insisting that my son come to the table and eat with me instead of sitting at the computer.
Tonight, chicken and dumplings in the crock pot. Yummy! :-)
