I just booked an hour’s aromatherapy massage for tomorrow evening, using my last voucher. I’d been putting it off for ages cos the voucher is so old I was afraid they’d refuse it, even though it has no expiry date; but I was feeling cheeky enough to try it today, and after initial misgivings, the girl at the salon said they’d accept it. Oooh, I’m looking forward to tomorrow evening :o)

The flotation tank was a real experience. I wasn’t sure if I liked it at first – the high salt concentration stung my skin a little, and I kept drifting to one side or the other and bumping off the sides of the tank. When I eventually got settled down, though, I think I fell asleep almost immediately, because I remember only what felt like a few minutes of vivid, confused dreams before the lid opened again. When it did, though, I was instantly awake and felt thoroughly refreshed. The massage straight after was one of the best I’ve ever had, because I was so wide awake but completely relaxed at the same time. I’m still feeling the benefit today, and really looking forward to using the second voucher – massage only this time – in a few weeks’ time.

The Thursday after Christmas – flotation session and aromatherapy massage. I’ve always wanted to try flotation, so I can’t wait! Cutting it rather fine, too, as the voucher expires at the end of the year :o)

about being disorganised is that I’m constantly letting vouchers and gift certificates expire without using them. I currently have gift certs for two massages – an aromatherapy massage, and a flotation session plus massage. They’re at least a year old – I think I was given them for my birthday last year – but they don’t seem to have expiry dates. Still, I should use them sooner rather than later. I expect I’ll appreciate them once this move is over!
