Over the summer I started doing some research on writing a novel. One of the things I came across was this great program for my Macbook to help with organizing writing called Scrivener. Love it!
In the summer I also got a couple of books out of the library to help set me on a novel-writing path. The books were really quite helpful. Really I just need to sit down and write. One of the books I read said that the first 10,000 pages are all just practice. So start practicing. Yes, I will!
I’ve started to develop the plot, but it’s all in bits and pieces here and there. I find that when I go for hikes in the forest I’m able to focus better on where I want my story to go. So I keep adding bits and pieces. I still haven’t sat down to actually write out paragraphs, but I’ve got all of my thoughts written down, and have been organizing them using Scrivener. I find it incredibly challenging though to fit in writing considering I have a full-time job, want to exercise, and have people I want to spend time with…. 5 months ago
