Do something creative every day

The ability to think creatively is not (only) a gift. It is something you can learn, and is is something you have to practice to get better at it. So that’s what i want to do. I want to feel the creativity on me mostly with artistic things. It will be kinda hard but i know it will be worth it if i get to do it.

Trying to sketch a little each day now. My current sketchbook was started in 2004, it isn’t even half full yet, pathetic.

yesterday i picked up my flute for the first time in maybe three months, so that was good. i’ll try and play it again today.

cooked two yummy pizzas and poached pears for a friend coming round to dinner:

pizza 1 – delicious tomato sauce, roasted peppers, seared courgette, field mushrooms, pine nuts, basil
pizza 2 – spinach & ricotta (the ricotta had lemon rind and juice, nutmeg, salt, garlic

I did some more shopping for supplies today and worked on a cross stitch last night.

I made a new cookie recipe this morning. The batter has to cool for a few hours before baking, so I’ll bake this afternoon after work.

we just did a crayon drawing together. Originally, I wouldn’t have thought of something like that as being creative, but it is.

I went shopping for supplies today, and I’m counting this as something I did for today even if I have no projects to show for it.

I spent a few minutes working on a birthday cross stitch for my aunt. I may or may not finish it—the more I work on it the more I realize how much of a pain it is to stitch and how unattractive it really is. We’ll see.
