I’m giving up until I live on a farm. They wouldn’t ge happy on our porch. The guine pigs are good enough for now.
This goal is so far in the future that I need to concentrate on something more immediate for now. I’m not even looking to own a home in the next few years; let alone own a home in a rural area, as well as purchase and care for livestock. I still want to do this someday, but not for a long time.

I found this site that lists the many attributes of the TFG. Its a really good goat. http://www.goodridgefarms.com/goats.htm
I also watched a video of one fainting which made me laugh, which is a really good thing.

The really amazing guy I met today told me that Tennesee fainting goats were actually a result of a mutation. An old shephard from NoviaScoshia brought them to Tennessee in the 1800s and then disappeared. They kept them in the herds of sheep so that when predators came around, the TFG would faint and the preditor would eat it while everyone else got away. So I would think that the TFG would have a great need for psychotherapy. What a fate. He agreed that they are really funny too. I found a website that details their origins and confirms the story about goat http://www.webworksltd.com/webpub/goats/faintinggoat.html
They really do have bulging eyes. Man I love these guys.

Found this interesting business on my earthquake predictions list. http://www.goatsrus.com/ Seems the working goats were seen congregating near a faultline. Love the website design.

Ran into a great website while looking for pictures of fainting goats. http://laughingsquid.com/
I once owned some goats and someone called me one time to say one of them was trying to get in their back door. I went over and it was a weird looking (eyes bulging out, crooked horns, etc) goat that wasn’t mine. I took it back to my herd while I tried to find the owner.
I thought something was wrong with it because everytime it was frightned, it’s legs stiffened and locked up and it fell over. I didn’t know anything about fainting goats at the time and thought it had epilepsy or something.
In the end some some friends painted it’s horns and hoofs purple and dropped him over the fence of another goat farm.
