Learn how to sew, knit, and embroider

when I was pretty young… still learning new stuff, though.

Sewing, knitting, and embroidery are three skills I would love to learn. I never was taught anything of this sort as a girl growing up and I would love to learn. I’m not sure if it is feasible to learn now or how much money I’ll need to invest. I know I’ll need to buy a sewing machine and the cloth, thread, etc. I’ll also need to make good use of some of the empty space in my house to hold the supplies and make a craft room or nook.

I really want to get into this sort of thing, as it would benefit my husband and I and our future family. It would be nice to be able to fix torn clothes or to be able to make a handmade scarf or hat. It would also be nice to make toys and pillows and embroider linens. I know I’ll never get into anything major like quilting but I’d just like to have some basic skills to be able to create something… anything!

I’ve been thinking about this goal for a while but it really hit home when I was looking at a baby site last night and it had all these wonderful handmade baby items. I realised that I’d love to be able to do this. I would love to be able to make something like this sweet pea cap!
