i’m finding that the internet really disrupts my productivity/leisure/sleep cycle. reddit is a particularly nefarious culprit. i have to really reflect on how useless my time spent on there is whenever i’m tempted to type those wasteful letters. 3 months ago

Progress on this is unsatisfactory… I definitely use the internet as an avoidance tool. What I’m feeling now is that if I’m going to avoid and escape, then maybe that’s what I’m gonna do for a bit, but there are other things that could replace the internet to achieve that aim. Like drawing or going for a walk. I feel like the physical side to life is really lacking for me. The internet keeps me mentally very busy but…. how much am I missing out on? I think it’s a lot.
There was an idea talked about on the BBC World Service suggesting taking a day off to be visual-media-free. I would like to do that. A day with nothing to do with screens. 7 months ago
