have a super outrageous 30th birthday party.

I’m old. Actually, everything about this birthday has been the best birthday experience of my life. I ran into some birthday blues when I realized that the final 4 was going to be on during my party, but I got over it and the party was a blast. More than the rocking party, I feel more confidant in, proud of and optimistic about my life and myself than I ever have before. AND get this; my 35th birthday is also going to be on a Saturday (I’ve been thinking about throwing an inaugural ball in celebration of the fact that I will be eligible to run for president… Don’t Stop Thinkin About Tomorrow!) Anyway, the party was a success. Now to plan my kick ass cinco de maio party.

The invitations are out, so I at least have to buy a box of wine and clean the bathroom.

I can’t believe it took me this long to realize that in roman numerals this is going to be my XXX birthday.

I think I have my party theme and soundtrack. I’ve always wanted to have a party where I play all the soundtracks to James Bond movies, and since this is the year ²007 there is no better time than the present! Whew! Now that I have a theme to meditate on I’m sure the details will begin to flow.

is less than 6 months away and falls on a Saturday. I had a great celebration idea, but forgot it (this is proof that I’m getting old). I want to start passing out invitations a month before my party so I only have 4 months to come up with an idea and work out the major details. My main requirement that I be excited about the plans, and that my excitement not depend on anyone’s reaction to or participation in things. I’d also like to have the party at someone else’s house, because I don’t want to have to clean up the next day.
