is to buy a bookcase (or two)
right now i have books in boxes. Not accessible, and untidy looking.
but i dread the cost and hassle of buying and then figuring out how to ship and then put together a bookcase…

i have resisted settling in when i move; this is probably because i “don’t want to get too comfortable” since each place feels temporary. Even after college, I haven’t lived in one place for more than two years. That’s years and years of unsettled living.
but if i think about it, there’s something to be said for settling, making myself comfortable. So what if I end up moving out after a year, or even six months. So much better to enjoy the time spent living in a place, than constantly feeling temporary, no?
This will take some time, and is a big goal, but I’ll set up some small goals (like paint my room, get furniture, and more) to support it.
