    I'm so messy...  — 1 day ago

This is one of my boyfriend’s biggest pet peeves and i should stop. i would love to see my clothes find its way into the hamper or back onto a hanger, so i have to keep reminding myself they can’t walk themselves.

    progress  — 1 week ago

I made some progress last night. Folded up all of the towels from the laundry and put them away. Took many of my sweaters and coats that were piled up and actually hung them up in the coat closet. I mean, it’s 115 degrees outside right now, why did I still have a pile of coats on my floor? sigh I also put away all of the unmentionables in my dresser, because those are the hardest to find amongst the pile of clothes thrown on the floor. And finally, I organized some of my jewelry atop my dresser and shined some pieces so that I can actually wear them. I found some extra hangers so I can begin hanging the clothes in the closet when I get my second wind. But it is progress and I can see about half of my bedroom floor now! ;-)

    emergency  — 1 month ago

I just keep thinking what if there were an emergency in my apt while I was away, like a water leak or something (just happened to a coworker that’s why I’m obsessing). I would be so embarrassed to have people in my room seeing what an atrocity it is!!! I need to clean up. I keep stepping on high heels nearly puncturing my heels, I have lost socks galore, shirts I love are buried, and jewelry well good luck finding something that matches on my dresser! I am going to work on this goal in July, this month.

    Wardrobe  — 2 months ago

    Worth doing!

Had new wardrobes and shelves delivered a fortnight ago. Yay, so much more order now :) There is still a tiny bit of throwing clothes on the floor action here and there, but nothing out of control. I’m happy to now call this goal done :)

Crystal missed it by *that much*

    Unfortunately...  — 2 months ago

...My kitten has started to pee on everything that is left around my house, especially clothes, towels and bags. Its aparently a barn-cat-behavioural thing (says the vet), so instead of getting rid of my cat, I’ve decided to simply stop leaving clothes lying around. Luckily, he doesn’t pee on furniture or carpet, otherwise I’d definitely have to get rid of him. If I can keep clothes off the floor (and not peed on) for two months, I’ll count this as done.

viobio asks, “OK, so where should I put the "half-dirty" clothes that I wore once? If I put in closet, the dark will breed moths; on the floor they get hair and dust in them; on a hook the knits get stretched out. Maybe make room for a nice chair or two?”
