I keep tripping over!
At least cleaning up will help me to procrastinate :3
How I did it: i just organized my room and it is SUPER clean, and i love it. and now i put my clothes in the hamper so it stays clean. its just one less thing to worry about, expessially when you're supper busy! Read how I did it…
How I did it: Honestly it took me getting married to accomplish this goal. My wife made sure that I hung and folded my clothes every night. Then one day I just started doing it on my own! Read how I did it…
How I did it: I ended up buying a couple of washing baskets from Argos, one for dirty clothes & one for clean clothes. So now instead of throwing all my clothes on the floor till I could be bothered to move them, I put them into a washing basket until I feel like dealing with them.Doesn't stop me being lazy but it does stop clothes being everywhere all over the floor Read how I did it…

How I did it: Am I completely cured of my bad littering ways? No, afraid not. When I get home and I'm tired, or I hop into the shower after a late night, I do forget to hang my clothes up properly. But it's more an exception than a rule now, so I say yay for me :). Read how I did it…

How I did it: Tossing clothes on the floor was a hard habit to break. I had circumstance on my side: my new house in the mountains has cold, damp concrete floors. The high humidity and damp floors make anything set on them susceptable to going moldy. Avoiding mildew was the main factor, but after a while the habit was broken and not I don't toss clothes on the floor no matter where I am. Read how I did it…

I will be deciding what to wear and try somethings on and what ever I dont want to wear I toss on my bed—and then Im in a hurry to leave so they just stay there until I come home and then I just want to lay down and poof the clothes end up in the corner on the floor..maybe I need to start picking clothes out at night so I have time to hang everything back up. Or at least when I come home take the 5 minutes or so it would take to hang everything back up….easier said than done though.

I decided to go ahead with this goal for real.
The main reason my clothes are all over my apartment is that I do not have room for them in my wardrobe anymore.
I have lived in this city for 9 years and I gathered so much stuff it’s unbelievable. I’m a pack rat. But definately I am not as much of a pack rat as my mom is – but I think in her case this might be some compensation syndrome for communist times where there was nothing in stores.
I try to overcome my tendency to gather things. I don’t mind this in only one case – when it comes to books as one day I want to have a really nice library room so I will need all of them :)
I must say that I changed my approach to things and gathering them after reading Dominique Loreau’s “L’art de la simplicite” – very good read for a pack rat :)
And doing it for real means that I am organizing a Wardrobe Makeover Party with my girl friends. I already send out an email with the date so now I have a deadline and I need to sort out my wardrobe by Oct 2. I want my friends to take as much of my clothes / bags / belts that I don’t need anymore as possible. The things that will not be taken by them I will give away to charity.
My wardrobe currently looks like in the attached picture…
Wow! It’s been 2 years since I’ve visited this site! And I see little has changed between age 24 and 26. Got a promotion at work, a new car, a new home- same old filth. Time to revisit these goals…
help! i dont know how.
i dont have any space/ room in my room for a washing basket, and i have brought one b4, but mum steals it.
shesharocks 5 4 3 2 what are you waiting for?
makes everything feel a lot better.
It’s actually a lot easier to accomplish this goal when you have a new puppy that will urinate on anythign left on the floor. Unfortunately, I’ve just swapped this habit for throwing my clothes on doors, closets, hooks , chairs etc.
All I did was come up with storage options while living in my dorm room. Just as easy done as said. I can’t wait until I have an apartment next year. . .countdown until August beginning NOW!

My house has been near to spotless now since the start of the year. No clothes on the floor. This could just be a temporary fase of cleanliness, so I’m gonna see if I can keep this up until february.

wow, it’s easy, it became a habit, it’s good… ^^
another week of steely mindfulness and i consider this goal done.

viobio asks,
“OK, so where should I put the "half-dirty" clothes that I wore once? If I put in closet, the dark will breed moths; on the floor they get hair and dust in them; on a hook the knits get stretched out. Maybe make room for a nice chair or two?”
