Attitude does make a difference........ 15 months ago

Let’s talk about attitude. and about challenges. But let’s do that through a little story. with a moral.

Last week at work I had just finished stuffing some envelopes and they were ready to be stamped out and mailed. However it was Friday and we wouldn’t be able to mail them until Monday. I asked my boss if I should stamp them, and she said sure, if I could figure out how to. I went over to the postage meter and figured out how to change the date within a minute, and proceeded to stamp all the letters. Some of my co-workers saw me and were floored that I knew how to do it. They said that they hadn’t even tried because they hadn’t thought it was possible. But I had only tried because I had thought it was possible.

Your mission: Make note of your own attitude – now try approaching a challenge with a new mindset.

If you promise someone something 16 months ago

    KEEP IT.

(just so this) (i’ll let you brainstorm how this could be a good idea)

but it’s really important, i’ll tell you that much.

    it's summer 16 months ago

and the sun is shining and the birds are chirping.

but still you’ve been feeling down. (what’s up with that? you may wonder)

    a quick pick-me-up:
    start skipping

just like you may have done in your younger years
    feel the energy
    stay in the moment
    smile

after all, we all know it’s hard to be in a bad mood when you’re skipping and smiling.

try it. i swear by it.

(ps- i started skipping as i walked out of the local supermarket, carrying dora the explorer balloons, and got into a much better mood, all the while making a passerby smile and comment happily)

“Be true to yourself because at the end of the day whoever you date, you’ve got to find someone that likes you for who you are. Life is short, be yourself, no matter what the circumstances.”

life is purely how you see it.

if you feel your life is bad, change your perspective.

if life is what happens to you, how you interpret it, and how you react,

just interpret it optimistically and react positively.
it never occurred to me how much control we really have over our happiness.

    (this is good news)

do all things with love and passion. 21 months ago

    doing something? anything? any activity?

do it with all your heart. put your focus and your passion into it.

the world will notice. it may not be mentioned, but it will affect whatever you are doing.

perhaps your spirit will be infused in those nearby once they see your passion and dedication?

just go ahead now 21 months ago

    It’s cold out. Really cold.

Do yourself a favor…. and you know that De-Icer you bought last week because you knew it’d be cold and icey- well, take it out of the car and put it in your purse, pocket, where ever.

Leaving it in your car’s not going to help any
if your car door is frozen shut and the lock won’t turn.

I know you’re anxious, I know that you’re scared and that you’re not really sure what to do in this situation.

    My advice to you?

Find what you love. Find what lights up your eyes. Find what you look forward to each day. Notice it. Find what excites your passions. What did you love to do as a child?

And do it. Do you want it? YES, remember-you love it. What’s stopping you? Silly fears. It’s okay to be anxious. Of course it may take a lot of honest effort [most things do], but you’ll find a way to make it work.

In the end, just focus your energy on what you love. I’ll support you forever.

try to crack open a coconut by banging it on your head.

There are many ways to open a coconut- use your imagination, but at least wear a helmet. Please.
