change my furnace filter

First, I needed to buy a set of new ones. (Dooo teee dooo…that took six weeks, ahem.)

Then, I needed to take the old ones out. (Uh, I bought ‘em, what’s the holdup? There they are, waiting, waiting…) As soon as I removed the old ones, I immediately inserted the new ones.

Funny how the first two steps dragged way out!

And worse…I think my husband has been putting them in the wrong way for the past seven years…shhhh…I think I’m right on this one…I mean, the dimensions are 16×20, and the long side should be seated horizontally, because that’s the depth of the furnace…but that is not how the old ones were installed…hmmm

I signed up for a renewal service called Filters on time. They send my furnace filter and drinking water filter four times a year. Changing the filter is easy but I always forget when to do it. Not anymore! Now if I could just figure out how to change the oil in my car!
