I am so excited – I’ve found a willing friend who is going to share the trip, so this year we are heading over to the Black Rock Desert to see what this is all about.

Any other 43Ters goin?

burningman is rad. 3 years ago

My friend who died used to go alot and i read an article about it that basically said its like being a hippy without having to carry the political beliefs that come with the label “hippy”. Thats mad lucious and I’m sure I’ll get there someday.

The Burningman people need to add a new warning to the ticket. It should include, “attending this event is addictive.” This shit will get inside of you. It will heal you and provide freedom. If not . . . then it’s a damn good party.

I'm a 53 year old woman 4 years ago

And I intend to continue to go to burning man. In a completely meaningless coincidence one year not long ago, I ran into my grown up niece there. I hadn’t seen her since her birth. She knew nothing about me except that I was the alleged family “success”.

I think I gave her an unexpected perspective on “success”, and I was SO not expecting to see a member of the long-self-martyring Berry clan having a completely great time doing something without any socially redeeming aspect.

It’s a lucky thing I look like her mother or she would never have approached me.
