The 14 September my Harry met Cosita and hopefully puppies will be delivered in two weeks or so! And hopefully me and my boyfriend have time to take care of one ourselves. Wish me luck!
How I did it: I searched high and low for the perfect puppy. I ended up getting my girl from the Plano Animal Shelter. She was a docile little border collie puppy and I was hooked. She was so timid. I could not believe it. Come to find out she had just been spayed and was drugged up. After the medication wore off and she got used to my family, she became a rambunctious girl but I know she will calm down with tim… Read how I did it…

How I did it: Well I didn't get a puppy myself. My mom adopted one from a website in early July and we've been having problems getting the dog to us but FINALLY! the puppy arrived last Sunday. It's an airedale terrier and very cute and so calm compared to our last dog. I can't wait to get a pup of my own; my boyfriend and I are currently settled on a basset hound but we'll see where we're at in a year or two. Read how I did it…
How I did it: We decided that Roxy deserved a better home and that we could provide her with one. We got all her stuff from NY and brought her to live in her new home in PA. I truly believe we saved her life. She is the baby of our family. Read how I did it…

I want a puppy so bad. I have a turtle, and while he’s lovely, I want another companion as well. Since I live in an apartment, I want a smaller dog.

The green blob on his head is to indicate he is sold (to us!!!). He can come home in 4 weeks which makes it the beginning of September.

This evening DH and i are going to visit a litter of puppies with the high probability of choosing one (? hmmmm might be difficult to choose just one) cuddly bundle of all fur and paws to join us. It will be another month before he will be able to leave his Mum and siblings and come home with us, so that will give us time to prepare, buy a puppy bed and some toys and all the other things he will need, and also have a holiday before all the work of puppy training starts.
Just hoping that HP takes on his Big Brother responsibilities properly and doesn’t lead him astray and start teaching him how to sleep on the sofa, open the back door and escape, and jump over the fence, or how to collect the post and then bury it in the garden.
i want a dog so bad!!! i rent a house with my boyfriend (and his brother), and he keeps saying we have to wait until we move somewhere else. the backyard isn’t completely fenced in and one of the neighbors wouldn’t be happy with a puppy running around… i have an awesome cat, and i’m pretty sure she wants another friend too! i really want a golden or a lab or a rot. they are all the cutest! i want a big dog to hang out with and go running with me. we can go swimming in the river too! i can’t wait!

My boyfriend’s family just got a beautiful golden retriever pup the other day and she is absolutely darling. I would love a dog of my own but I want to wait until I’m settled a little more (by which I mean finished college & the yearly move). For now I’m content with this cute furball, even if it’s not mine.
I’ve been searching around on the internutz to find the “perfect pup” for my family. One that’s playful, small-medium size (6-18lbs), gets along with other dogs, already neutered & up to date on shots (etc.), friendly, potty trained (to a certain extent, if not completely), 2-4 years old, preferably a dachshund (since my brother & his girlfriend currently have one and hope to find him [their pup- Maddux] a little friend), and down-right adorable. (:
I’ve been checking out rescue sites. A main one being a dachshund rescue (there are some awesome sites to rescue adorable little companions!) You can search within your state as well, which is GREAT. I’ve checked back on a certain site a few times per month since about February… Tonight I stumbled upon a little dog named Mikey. Ironically, Mikey was a name that I had picked out before for a pup that looked promising…but ended up not working out. Mike is also my dad’s name and I tend to call him “Mikey” at times. I find it to be a very cute name for a weiner dog and was surprised to see a…
2.5 year old, 12 lbs…”affectionate and active dog. He will play with anything and anybody. He is neutered and up-to-date on all shots, heartworm and flea control. He is crate trained. He was an owner surrender (I used to run a dachshund rescue in (MY AREA), and still get involved on occassion.) He adapted quickly to his new environment. He gets along well with other dogs, but would probably do best as an only child. He is sure to bring his new owner years of love and joy!”
I looked at the adoption fee & it’s DEFINITELY in my price range. I’m hoping, praying, & crossing my fingers that things work out. I’d love to have a friend running around this place to add some life, color, and SOUND to the ultra-dullness of a place I call home.
Jogging buddy? I think so. (:
