From the ones I got from my principal who left (silly me), my BF’s books, ones I bought at garage sales and tried to resell but couldn’t, and my own. 108 books. That’s ridiculous. The bookseller took 25 and paid me $41. That was ok, I thought. The rest went to Goodwill. And good riddance, I say. In addition to having to think about moving them again, I don’t have to feel guilty for never having read them, since I don’t have them anymore ;)

I listed some of the books on Amazon, but am only leaving them up until Thursday. At that point, they will be de-listed, and I will bring all my books to the used bookstore. Whatever they don’t take will go directly to Goodwill (they sell a ton on Amazon, too, and are better set-up to deal with all those books that are only worth a penny, or sit around forever before they sell). And that will be four boxes of crap out of my life!!!

JulieJordanScott is continually setting odd goals that need translation for many people
I read and buy so many books, I need to regularly recycle them.
I give all my novel, easy reading stuff to my mother, every time she comes through Bakersfield.
My other books… some I am very unwilling to give up.
So I buy more copies, LO>. I have given away numerous copies of “Writing Down the Bones” by Natalie Goldberg. Once I found “On Writing” by Stephen King on the bargain shelf at Barnes and Noble. I bought five copies to give away.
Yes, I need to release more of my books again.
It is ALWAYS good to add the stuff back into the world that I have learned from and will never open again. (Ofcourse, there are my perpetual faves, like “How to Think Like Leonardo da Vinci” that I am working through again… or all of Julia Cameron’s books… LOL.
