to prospective recommenders, requesting their help…
we’ll see what they say
I made some lists today…
a list of schools it would be realistic to apply to
then i made a list of things i need to know about each school (like deadline, requirements, etc.)
then i started looking up the schools on the net. So far I have done 2.5
need to break this down into steps.
else it’ll never get done, due to high anxiety levels
to set up my timeline to apply to library schools…
(and really, with a handle like bookish, i’m sure you’re not surprised!)
the more i think about the things i enjoy doing (and don’t enjoy doing) the more it seems that being a librarian would be a fitting job for me. maybe there would be some aspects that I wouldn’t like so much, but on the whole it would be a good job for me, especially if i could work in an academic library.
For much of my inspiration, I have Librarian to thank. She was one of the first folks who I stumbled across here on 43T, (not to mention one of the first to cheer me).
There is also MotherBrando who has also inspired me through her example.
Thanks all the 43er Librarians out there!
Are there any programs that you think I shouldn’t pass up? Are there any with online-only programs that you think would be good?
