is a good start. I think with a toddler, framed wall pieces are going to be more practical than sculpture for a few years. Photography would be nice too, and framing some of the things we already have.

I want to give art to friends as much as I want to buy it for myself. Today I found http://www.angiereedgarner.com (for example) and she has about a million paintings I want to give to people I love. This may be a huge motivator to get my finances in order.

I found a place near here that reminds me so much of where I used to live. Pottery, painting, jewelry, sculpture—fine art, but art to live with intimately. I want to choose pieces of it and have them in my home or give them to friends. It’s the opposite of my drive to simplify—or is it? I want to have just a few things, and have those things mean something.
